When RRR was first announced, it was announced so, as RRR, as it brought together 3 Rs, namely ‘R’ajamouli, NT’R’ and ‘R’am Charan. It was said that the film’s title would be changed later on, but it wasn’t. While appearing on The Kapil Sharma Show recently, to promote RRR, Rajamouli revealed why RRR remains to be the title and wasn’t changed.

Rajamouli said that the film was promoted on social media with hashtags of RRR, and since the name got popular with the audience, he decided not to change the film’s name and instead chose to abbreviate the three Rs of the title. Titled Roudram Ranam Rudiram in Telugu, Raththam Ranam Rowthiram in Tamil, Roudra Rana Rudhira in Kannada, Rudhiram Ranam Roudhram in Malayalam, and Rise Roar Revolt in English, RRR is all set to hit the big screens on January 7, 2022.

While there were many speculations that the release of RRR would be postponed due to the restrictions in the Bollywood market, due to the spread of Omicron, it has been recently clarified that there would be no further delays in the release of the film and that it would arrive as per the original schedule.
