Rajamouli approached Pawan Kalyan for Vikramarkudu, but…

2006 released Vikramarkudu starring Ravi Teja and Anushka in the lead roles went on to become a mass hit at the box office. Directed by Rajamouli, the star director’s father Vijayendra Prasad provided story for the film.

Meanwhile, speaking about the film, in a recent interview, Vijayendra Prasad revealed a sensational news that Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is their first choice for the film. Vijayendra Prasad also went on to say that even though Pawan liked the story as he wanted to take a break from the films, Rajamouli approached Ravi Teja with the same script and delivered superhit in the form of Vikramarkudu.

It is well-known fact that after the release of Vikramarkudu, Ravi Teja’s craze among the mass audience multiplied and he emerged as the Mass Maharaja.
