Proud And Bold: Janhvi Kapoor Shuts Down Trolls

Janhvi Kapoor, known for her love of fashion, often walks the ramp, poses for photoshoots and supports Indian designers. She proudly promotes Indian fashion on global platforms.

When some online users criticized the presence of many Indian celebrities and designers at the Met Gala 2025 in New York Janhvi didn’t stay silent.

This year stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh attended the prestigious event, which is usually dominated by Western celebrities.

Responding to the criticism Janhvi called out the ‘colonial mindset’ of such trolls. She said it was time Indian designers and artists received global recognition, and that our garments were among the most stunning at the event.

She expressed disappointment that some people still look down on Indian representation, calling it a result of colonial trauma. On the film front, Janhvi Kapoor is working on Peddi with Ram Charan.
