Premalu Sequel Cancelled Due To…

The romantic comedy Premalu became a blockbuster in Kerala, while its Telugu dubbed version also performed well helping her gain popularity among Telugu audiences.

Following the film’s success the makers announced Premalu 2, raising excitement among fans who wanted to see Mamitha and Naslen reunite on screen.

However actor Naslen has now revealed that the sequel will not happen. In a recent interview he said the team faced difficulties during the script development process and the project could not move forward.

As a result the makers decided to drop the sequel despite the original film’s huge popularity.

Meanwhile Mamitha Baiju’s career is progressing well. She will next star opposite Suriya in Vishwanath And Sons which is scheduled for release on August 14th 2026.
