Preity Mukhundhan’s Two Big Missed Opportunities

Preity Mukhundhan is currently busy with several projects in South cinema. After back to back films like Blast and Idhayam Murali, she is now preparing for her Telugu film Emo Emo Idi, which will release on October 30th 2026.

Her Tamil film Anbil Avan starring Ashok Selvan, is also set to hit theatres this Friday.

At the film’s pre-release event, director Ashwath Marimuthu revealed an interesting detail. He said he had first offered Preity the female lead in Dragon but she turned it down.

The role later went to Kayadu Lohar. Ashwath said there were no hard feelings and later approached Preity with Anbil Avan. She liked the script and accepted the role.

Earlier, Preity also missed Atlee’s Raaka with Allu Arjun due to date issues.
