Harshavardhan became a popular name among the Telugu speaking families with his portrayal of Amrutha Rao in the serial Amrutham in more than 150 episodes of the best comedy weekly ever. Many thanks to his association with Just Yellow after the serial ended it’s telecast after 313 episodes, that he got into being a popular comedy actor in movies as well. Since then he had some good roles however far in between his not so popular ones.
He was good in Gaganam, Anukokunda Oka Roju and then gave his talent a different direction by shifting to writing. He first wrote the additional dialogues for Vikram Kumar’s Ishq with Vijay Namoju and then full fledgedly wrote for classic, Manam, directed by Vikram Kumar again. He then worked along with two other writers to completely develop a script for a movie, directed by Vikram Kumar Konda, Gundejari Gallanthayyinde starring Nitya Menen and Nithiin. The movie became a blockbuster success for Nithiin after making a comeback with Ishq.
Since, Manam, Harsha is regarded as one of the most sorted out and talented writers in Telugu Film industry. He started working on his directorial skills to realise his dream of directing a movie finally. After more than 3 years, he is getting the wings to let his dream fly with a different script than what he has written till date. The movie will be thriller produced by Anji Reddy, Oka Ammayi Thappa fame with Sri Mukhi as lead. Other details regarding the movie are yet to be known and the shoot is expected to start from end of January.
