Famous actor Rakesh Varre took on the role of producer for the first time with the movie “Evvarikee Cheppoddu”. It received positive reviews from critics and was well-received by audiences on OTT platforms. Encouraged by this success, Rakesh Verra produced another short film called “Peka Medalu” which he is actively promoting to reach a wider audience. The experienced producer Dheeraj Mogilneni is overseeing its release. Additionally, the premiere tickets are priced at only Rs. 50, which is expected to generate good buzz for “Peka Medalu” within just two days. Let’s see if the movie lives up to expectations!

Peka Medalu Movie Story: Lakshman works as a real estate broker even though he studied B.Tech. He is very eager to become rich quickly. Despite being married and having a son, he doesn’t act responsibly. His wife, Varalakshmi makes and sells pastries to earn money, but he often uses that money for his own pleasures like drinks and cigarettes. Sometimes, when his wife asks for money to buy essentials, he pretends to give it for household needs but spends it on his own enjoyment instead.

During this time, an NRI tries to cheat Lakshman’s wife and extort money from her. To achieve this, he plans to get rid of Lakshman’s wife and child. When Lakshman’s wife and her family find out about this, it brings significant changes to Lakshman’s life.

Performances: What’s special about Vinod Kishan‘s acting in “Peka Medalu”? His performance is so impressive that it’s hard to describe in just one word. He excels with his clever portrayal and fits the role perfectly. Anusha Krishna also shines with her strong character, leaving a lasting impact on viewers even after the movie ends. The climax gets applause, and Ganesh Thipparaju as Sheikh Shiva and Muralidhar Goud in brief appearances add to the film’s overall strong performances.

Technical Aspects: Director Neelagiri Mamilla‘s story choice isn’t groundbreaking, echoing themes seen in films like Srikanth‘s “Aahwanam” from time to time. However, the screenplay keeps viewers engaged. The first half is led by comedy, while the second half takes an emotional turn. The climax doesn’t have a twist, but it ends in a surprising and unexpected way. Rakesh Varre’s production values are not extravagant but also not out of place. He deserves credit for selecting a promising script. Smaran Sai‘s music, especially the song highlighting women’s issues, adds depth without overshadowing the storyline. Haricharan K‘s cinematography is also commendable.

Analysis: “Peka Medalu” offers strong emotional content and carries a meaningful message. Despite a few inconsistencies, this two-hour movie is worth watching this weekend.

Verdict: “Peka Medalu” delivers compelling emotional depth and a significant message and everyone can understand the movie its not so complicated. Despite minor inconsistencies. It captivates with its narrative and resonates with viewers through its heartfelt themes, making it a meaningful cinematic experience.

Bottom Line: Worth watching this weekend.
