Harshavardhan became quite famous after becoming Amrutham for the telugu comedy series. The move helped him cement his place as a comedic actor and few offers from different films have established him as a serious talent to reckon with. He then ventured into script writing and stunned everyone with the dialogues of Manam. Such a big and complicated film was simplified by his humour and sensible dialogues without disturbing the flow of the story and characters. He also proved himself as a screenplay writer with his Gundejaari Gallanthayyinde. He is one of the sought out writers in Telugu Industry now, but he wants to concentrate on his directorial career more than anything else. He even left the big project like Vedalam remake with Pawan Kalyan to make his direction debut. He was approached to write the dialogues but he rather than half heartedly taking the opportunity he shifted focus to proving himself as a director.
With Good, Bad and Ugly, he will be debuting as a director and acting in a crucial role as well. Kishore, Sree Mukhi, himself and another new actor will be playing the leads and story focuses on the circumstances and an intense love story mixing up in them. Kishore has even not charged a pie for the movie it seems. After, looking at the output the movie team decided to increase the budget and soon they will be wrapping up the shoot. After the movie, from next month Harshavardhan will direct Sudheer Babu in a Telugu – Hindi bilingual and the movie is set to be a period film. Well, it seems like an onwards and Upwards journey for Harsha these days.
