The Baahubali franchise created a huge impact in the Indian film industry, by changing everything we knew about the entertainment industry, and by breaking down all the barriers in cinema. The film’s content had a universal appeal, due to which language mattered the least, and audiences fell in love with the film. The Baahubali franchise has extensive battle sequences and took more than 80 days to film those sequences.

After Baahubali, no other film has filmed such extensive sequences, for such a long period of time. Now, Balakrishna has achieved this record, by spending more than 80 days to film the fight sequences for his upcoming film Akhanda, directed by Boyapati Srinu. The climax of the film is being filmed in Tamil Nadu, and the shooting is said to be taking place at a fast pace.

Akhanda will see Balakrishna play the role of an Aghora, and the audiences got a glimpse into this when the teaser of the film was released earlier this year. Balakrishna’s dialogue in the teaser was highly appreciated, and there are huge expectations on the film, considering that this is the third film between Boyapati and Balakrishna, after the superhit success of Simha and Legend, in the past. The film is reportedly scheduled to release for Dussehra this year.
