The ongoing theatre shutdown issue continues to make headlines. After Allu Aravind’s media interaction, Dil Raju held a press meet to clear up confusion. He said it’s understandable that Pawan Kalyan is upset, but they plan to meet him soon and apologize.
Dil Raju explained that out of 370 single-screen theatres in the Nizam area, only 30 are run by his and SVC’s companies. The rest are handled by others.
He said the main reason for the meeting was to clarify doubts and avoid confusion. Exhibitors are facing losses due to the current rent and percentage-sharing system. In April, a few from East Godavari raised these concerns.
Currently, theatres pay rent in the first week, and switch to percentage sharing in later weeks, which is difficult for them.
Talks are still happening, and no final decision has been made yet. Dil Raju also denied any targeting of the film Hari Hara Veera mallu.
