No Hits, No Star Heroines For Ravi Teja

Ravi Teja has been going through a tough phase with no solid hit in recent years. His Hindi market which was once stronger than many other Telugu stars, has also fallen. Because of continuous flops, his theatrical demand has become dull.

Even then, he continues to charge a high remuneration, so his films are made with strict budgets and quick shooting schedules.

Due to these tight budgets, his recent movies haven’t featured star heroines and the makers had to choose relatively lesser-known actresses.

Ravi Teja recently completed Kishore Tirumala’s Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi, set for a Sankranthi release, with Ashika Ranganath and Dimple Hayathi as the heroines. For his next film with Shiva Nirvana, Priya Bhavani Shankar has been selected.

Except Sreeleela, he hasn’t worked with a top heroine in the last 5 years. Even when his films needed big heroines, producers had to compromise because of the limited budgets and changes in Ravi Teja’s business deals.
