New Twist In Vijay’s Jana Nayagan Censor Issue
Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, which is said to be his last film before entering active politics, was originally planned for a Pongal release on January 9th.
However the film could not be released as it did not receive a censor certificate on time. This led to confusion and disappointment among many and also triggered legal trouble.
The producers earlier approached the Madras High Court for censor clearance and a single judge directed the censor board to issue a U/A certificate. The censor board challenged this order, leading to further delays.
The case later reached the Supreme Court which asked the producers to return to the High Court. Now the High Court has ordered that the case be heard again from the beginning adding more uncertainty.
Amid all this, reports suggest that the makers are planning to withdraw the legal case and look for a non-legal solution. They may either go for a fresh review by the censor board or decide their next step carefully. With this move, Jana Nayagan enters a new phase, and its release plans are once again in the spotlight.
