Nayanthara has strongly criticized Tamil actor Dhanush, accusing him of holding a grudge against her, her partner Vignesh Shivan, and their 2015 hit film “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan” for the past decade.
She referred to Dhanush as a “tyrant” and questioned if a producer could act like an “emperor,” controlling everyone’s freedom on set.
Nayanthara revealed that Dhanush refused to allow music or photos from “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan” to be used in her Netflix documentary, “Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale”.

Because of this, they had to re-edit the project after a two-year struggle. She also accused Dhanush of being “vile” and said his past words left her with “unhealable scars.”
Dhanush has now sent her a legal notice, demanding Rs. 10 crore for allegedly using a 3-second behind-the-scenes clip from the film.
Nayanthara expressed disappointment, calling this an all-time low. She said it’s sad that “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan”, a significant film in her life, could not be part of the documentary.
She added, “This speaks volumes about your character. I hope one day you’ll truly learn to #SpreadLove and not just say it”.
“Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale” will stream on Netflix starting Monday, November 18.
