Ante Sundaraniki starring Nani and Nazriya as the lead pair had a theatrical release last year on June 10th. This romantic family drama was directed by Vivek Athreya.
Despite getting decent word of mouth, the film failed miserably at the domestic box office in minting revenues. On the other hand, the film generated $1 million at the US box office and emerged as a profitable venture there. One of the major complaints regarding the film is three hours lengthy runtime.
Post the film’s release, critics and a few general audiences opined that if the runtime was kept within limits the film would have ended up as a box office hit. Though the news came out that the makers will be trimming the runtime from the second day, later the news settled as a social media buzz.
Meanwhile, the latest news is that director Vivek Athreya has penned yet another script by keeping Nani in the mind. Reportedly, the director even gave a narration and impressed Nani. If everything goes smoothly, yet another project in the combination of Nani and Vivek Athreya materializes if not immediately sometime soon. Will Vivek Athreya make sure to keep the film’s duration within limits this time? Remains to be seen.
