Nani’s love for cinema showcased during Thimmarusu pre-release event

Natural Star Nani came forward to encourage actor Satya Dev’s upcoming film Thimmarusu, by attending the pre-release event of the film yesterday, where the actor has spoken his heart out, with respect to the release of films in theatres.

Nani said that the Indian audiences, especially the Telugu audiences, are people who are habituated to watching films in theatres and that it’s been going on for decades, so much so that it’s our culture. He said that he’s scared that this culture will not be passed down to the next generations due to the current circumstances. Furthermore, Nani said that it’s perfectly safe to go to the theatres and watch films as theatres are the only place where we can watch the film without removing our masks, which is not the case with restaurants or pubs, where we have to remove our masks.

Nani said that the price of every daily essential has increased and all other prices have also increased, but ticket prices are restricted from being increased, which is affecting the livelihoods of thousands of people who are directly and indirectly dependant on the exhibition industry. He said that theatres are the first to always shut down and the last to reopen, and while actors and producers are safe, it is the others that suffer the most because of it. Nani has shared and explained the tough realities of the film industry, which were faced by daily wage workers and theatre owners, making his love towards cinema and concern towards the fraternity, very clear.
