The Akkineni family is understandably upset with Konda Surekha’s comments, accusing KTR of being behind Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce. Naga Chaitanya responded, calling the remarks ridiculous and shameful.
Chay made a tweet that divorce was a painful process for him, and he hadn’t spoken out earlier due to respect for Samantha. He explained that divorce is one of the hardest decisions and after much thought, he and Sam made the mutual decision to part ways.
He added that many false rumors have been spread about the divorce, but he stayed silent out of respect for both Sam and his family. However, he found Konda Surekha’s recent claim not only false but completely unacceptable.
Including Samantha, who reacted on Instagram, denying any political involvement in her divorce. Being a woman, working hard, and surviving in a glamorous industry where women are often treated poorly is not easy. Konda Surekha Garu, I am proud of who I have become through this journey please don’t make light of it.
“I hope you understand that your words matter as a minister. I ask you to be responsible and respect people’s privacy. My divorce is a personal matter, and I would appreciate it if you stopped speculating about it. Choosing to keep things private doesn’t mean it’s okay to misrepresent us”.
Samantha also clarified that her divorce was mutual and friendly, with no political conspiracy involved. “Please keep my name out of political issues. I have always stayed away from politics and want to keep it that way”.
