Nag Ashwin Breaks Silence On Kalki Sequel Speculations

The sequel to Kalki 2898 AD is progressing steadily with two shooting schedules already completed. The team is currently waiting for Prabhas to join the shoot as he is occupied with his upcoming films Fauji and Spirit.

Meanwhile few rumors suggested that Deepika Padukone who played the very key role of Sumathi in the first film had been replaced by Sai Pallavi.

Director Nag Ashwin dismissed these reports calling them mere speculation. He emphasized that Sumathi is a much crucial character in the story and said the team will make an official announcement soon for sure.

Few reports also claim that Alia Bhatt has joined the cast and recently filmed scenes in Hyderabad.

However she is not replacing Deepika. The film produced by Vyjayanthi Movies is expected to release next year.
