Mythri Movies recently lodged a complaint against Nizam Theatre Owners concerning the screening of the Pan indian film “Hanuman” in Telangana State. The movie, distributed by Mythri Movie Makers, faced allocation issues in theaters, prompting legal action against certain theatre owners.
According to the agreement signed by Mythri Movie Makers, “Hanuman” was scheduled to be released in Telangana theatres from January 12, 2024. However, despite the agreement, some theatres in the Nizam area failed to comply, resulting in losses for the distributors and producers.
The complaint calls for the concerned theaters to begin screening “Hanuman” right away and highlights the financial losses incurred as a result of its non screening. Producer Niranjan Reddy’s Mythri Movies asserts that these theaters’ activities represent a serious danger to the Telugu cinema industry’s continued existence.
The Telugu Film Producers Council strongly condemns the theatres’ actions, emphasizing the need for the industry to uphold principles of faith, morality, commitment, and justice. The council demands swift justice for “Hanuman” and calls for a collective stand against such unethical practices, highlighting the importance of honoring contractual agreements in the film industry.
