Any actor in their lifetime would be wishing to grow further and further charting the new territories, increasing the market and reach for their movies. National Stars are trying to conquer Overseas markets, while some of the south Indian actors are looking to expand their market in neighbouring languages.
Mohan Lal is not a simple actor and he is a big star in Malayalam cinema. He has great name even in Telugu as well, with his dubbed movies and Kalapani, is still regarded his most popular film across the Nation. Telugu people were able to watch him twice on screen with back to back releases, Manamantha and Janatha Garage.
Both the films, were dubbed in Malayalam and released as Lalettan’s films there. The movies did not become mighty successful in Kerala but they both have given a new market to Mohan Lal in Telugu. After Janatha Garage, his Manyam Puli, dubbed version of Puli Murugadoss, recovered the dubbing costs and us considered a good money spinner in B and C centres
Utilizing this initiation, Mohan Lal is planning to release his movies in Telugu as well. According to that, he planned his Oppam, Kanupapa, which was said to be in consideration for a remake, will be hitting telugu screens on 30th December. He is also planning to release his future movies, simultaneously. His next release for Christmas, is also being planned to be a Telugu dub release along with Malayalam version.
