Remakes have become the order of the day. Many makers are falling back on remaking a hit film in another language preferably Tamil and trying to bank on audience accepting the sensibilities of the characters with slight changes in nativity and story elements. This has been happening from a long time and we can see even stars depending on such remakes to score some hits. Recently, Pawan Kalyan, Venkatesh, Ram Charan and Megastar Chiranjeevi featured in the remakes of popular films and Chiru’s Khaidi No.150 has become the second biggest hit of Telugu Film Industry after Bahubali as well.
Going by the norm and trend, Mohan Babu who is taking rest from continuous work as decided to remake Dhanush directorial, PaPaandi released this Friday. The movie story runs on the lines of exploring the life of an aging stunt man in Cinema and it is said to be a light hearted entertainer by the critics in Tamil. The box office collections of the movie will be known by next week and the film as garnered a good talk in the public as per the reports coming in. Apparently, Mohan Babu’s long time friend and colleague, Rajnikanth arranged for a special screening for the actor and suggested him to act in the role of Raj Kiran, the lead man in the movie.
Impressed by the movie, Mohan Babu decided to produce the movie by himself and Dhanush will co-produce the movie with him. He will look after the script changes and nativity issues as well. Subramaniam Siva who earlier made Donga Dongadi, remake of Thiruda Thirudi, a Dhanush starrer, with Sadaf and Manchu Manoj will direct this remake. The shooting of the movie will start after the actor is happy with the changes and as he is also nursing from a surgery, the team will take time to set up every thing in order as per the sources. The director is thrilled to be making a movie with such a senior actor and wants to prove his mettle once again. This film also marks for Dhanush’s entry into Telugu Film Industry as a producer.
