For the first time in Indian cinematic history, Major is going to create a record. The team has officially announced that the pre-release event would take place in Vizag on 29th May, after showcasing the film to the audience.
No other film in India has ever attempted such a thing, with pre-release events usually aimed at pumping up the audience. It is only in Hollywood that we often see audiences getting an early glimpse of a film, in the form of premieres, at least a week before their release. It is going to be interesting to see how this experiment will turn out to be for the team of Major.
Major is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who sacrificed his life during the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Sashi Kiran Thikka is the director of the film, which is all set to be released on June 3rd in all major pan-Indian languages, making it Adivi Sesh’s first pan-Indian film.
