Mahesh Babu Reflects On His Rise After Pokiri

The team of Varanasi is promoting the film on international platforms. After announcing the release date the team spoke with a leading Hollywood interviewer. During the interaction Mahesh Babu shared how Pokiri changed his life and career.

He said that while every film teaches him something new and Pokiri made him a star. Released in 2006 the film became a massive hit and brought huge expectations from all.

Babu said that after Pokiri he went through a tough phase and unsure about what film to choose next because of the pressure to live up to fans expectations which are high.

He added that every film changes an actor mindset in some way. Talking about Varanasi he said it is a completely new and different experience for him.

Directed by Rajamouli and the film is set to release on April 7, 2027.
