In the Telugu film business, Kranthi, also known as Y Kranti Kumar Reddy, is a well-known art director. Coming from the small village of Shettur in the Anantapur district, his story of passion and tenacity in becoming a great art director is an inspiring one.
As a young child, Kranthi Kumar developed a passion for movies by reading historical fiction and listening to movies on the radio. He had always wanted to be a director, but his shy personality stopped him from breaking into the field right away.
Kranthi Kumar went to Hyderabad after earning three diplomas and a PG (Theatre) from Telugu University. There, he worked on several short films and created sets for plays. His abilities were quickly acknowledged, and in 2014–15 for Rajakar, he took home the Nandi Award for Best Set Designer.
When Kranthi Kumar was given the chance to work on the movie Agent Sai Srinivasa Atreya, his dedication and hard effort paid off. His performance on the film Masooda was particularly well-liked, and his favourite scene was the one set in the dump yard during the intermission.
