Actor Nikhil Siddhartha and director Sudheer Varma, came together after their successful collaboration, Swamy Ra Ra. The movie began the success path of Nikhil and the actor went on to score hits with movies like Karthikeya, Surya vs Surya and Ekkadikipothav Chinnavada. After scoring a blockbuster with EPC, the actor turned to his friend and mentor in a sense, Sudheer Varma to try something new and the director coming after a flop like Dochay, he needed to deliver a hit to sustain his career.
Well, the movie, Keshava about the recente of Keshava Sharma, a law student released last Friday and the first weekend showed that the interest about the movie in audience was good enough. The movie collected a gross of 11.4 crores over the weekend. Actress Ritu Varma did not receive much praise but, Isha Koppikar in a cop role in Telugu Cinema after long time, did earn praise for her portrayal. The movie is now, settled for an average word of mouth as several audience expressed the movie not delivering on the promise of an edge of the seat thriller. Still, those who loved movie praised it to no end.
