Kollywood Star actor Suriya‘s upcoming movie, Kanguva, is a big budget pan india film directed by Siva. The movie will be released across India in all languages. However, the team has not announced the release date yet, even after finishing filming.
They want to avoid pressure and ensure the movie’s quality isn’t compromised. Once the post-production work is complete, they will announce the release date. This approach might affect the film industry, as movies usually lock in release dates well in advance.
Kanguva is expected to release in September or October, but other big films like Vijay‘s The GOAT, Rajinikanth‘s Vettaiyan, and Ajith‘s Vidaa Muyarchi are already scheduled for those months. this is though situation for producers.
November is a slow period, so a Christmas release might be ideal. However, postponing it to next year’s Sankranthi festival would mean competing with multiple Telugu and Tamil films, including Ajith’s upcoming movie. It will be interesting to see what the team decides.
