Kalki 2898 AD Team Issues Legal Notices Over False Tweets

The team behind the movie Kalki 2898 AD has taken legal action against Bollywood critics Sumit Kadel and Rohit Jaiswal for spreading false information about the film’s box-office numbers on Twitter.

They admitted that the numbers provided by the production company were incorrect.

The makers of Kalki 2898 AD have filed separate legal notices against both critics, seeking Rs 25 crores in damages for their negative tweets about the movie.

They also demanded that the critics provide daily financial reports showing the film earnings in different regions. If the critics fail to provide a satisfactory explanation they will be required to pay Rs 25 crores.

The tweets in question were quickly removed from their official accounts after news of the legal action surfaced. Kalki 2898 AD continues to perform well at the box office remaining steady even into its fourth week.

The movie was Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan in leading roles.
