Jana Nayakudu Opening Day Collections Report
Jana Nayakudu, starring Vijay and directed by H. Vinoth, finally released in theatres on July 23rd after several delays caused by controversies and censor issues.
The film, a remake of Bhagavanth Kesari, was released in Telugu as Jana Nayakudu. As Vijay’s final film before focusing on politics, it opened with high expectations. However, the movie received mixed to negative reviews on its first day, which impacted its opening day box office collections.

The Telugu version of Jana Nayakudu collected Rs. 1.96 crore share and Rs. 3.75 crore gross worldwide on its first day. With a Rs. 9.7 crore theatrical business, the film needs Rs. 10 crore share to break even and still requires Rs. 8.04 crore share to reach that mark.
