Jana Nayagan’s Digital Deal Takes A Huge Cut

Jana Nayagan was one of the most awaited Tamil films and was planned for a Sankranthi 2026 release. However the film faced censor issues, leading to long delays.

As the time passed the buzz around the movie slowly reduced, especially with political discussions taking over in Tamil Nadu.

Amazon Prime had earlier bought the digital rights for Rs 120 crores but later canceled the deal after waiting for months. The situation became worse when the film was leaked online.

There is still no clarity on the release date as the censor certificate is pending despite the Revising Committee watching the film. Zee Studios has now offered Rs 50 crores for digital rights.

Made on a huge budget the film now needs strong box office success to recover its investment.
