Indian 2: Lyca Productions’ Hope for a Major Comeback

Lyca Productions has faced several flops in recent years, with movies like Chandramukhi 2, another Lal Salaam, and Naai Sekar Returns not doing well. However, main they had some success with Ponniyin Selvan 1 & 2. Now, they are teaming up with director Shankar again for Indian 2, a sequel to the 90s hit, Indian.

Kamal Haasan will reprise his role as Senapathy, a character with strong recall value. Indian 2 focuses on drama and emotions, unlike the high-tech Kalki 2898 AD. With a two-week gap between Kalki and Indian 2 releases, Indian 2 could benefit if Kalki slows down at the box office.
