Actress Poorna, who got a recognition with the movies like Avunu has recently tonsured her head for her movie, Kodiveeran. The actress has shared her experience to media after the shoot and she said she had never been so nervous for any film. The actress shared, “ I asked the director to give me some time to decide when he said, how it is important for me to go bald for the film. I said, yes after giving it a good thought!”
She continued, “ My mother did not appreciate my decision. But I wanted to be different from other actresses and do a film that is completely realistic and original. As the director explained the importance of the scene, I told the same to my mother. She unhappily agreed and I went ahead with it. When I saw myself in the mirror, I prayed to complete the scene as fast I can and re-grow the hair soon.”
She also said why she had to take such a decision. “ It is hard to get good roles and when you are part of a good film, you should take that extra effort. If you want to be different then you have to go that extra mile. As the shoot started, I wanted the scene to be done with as soon as it can but then I realised I am doing this for the film and for betterment of it and should not so anxious. Still, I was completely nervous but after completing the scene, I felt all the more satisfaction than ever,” concluded the thirty three year old actress. She will soon sign a Telugu film and announce the details.
