Meanwhile, his family is making waves in the industry. His younger daughter, Aditi Shankar, made a strong debut with Viruman and later starred in Maaveeran both becoming hits.
She is now one of the most sought-after actresses in Tamil cinema.
Shankar’s son, Arjith Shankar, has entered the industry as well but behind the camera. He worked as an assistant director for Madharasi and Game Changer.
Now, reports suggest he will soon debut as a lead actor, with Prabhu Deva directing his first film. An official announcement is expected soon.
