Gulshan Grover Talks about his Role in Breaking Bad

Gulshan Grover said, “There are a few shows that are remembered and watched across generations and ‘Breaking Bad’ is one of them.”

The original “bad guy” of Bollywood, Gulshan Grover, has discussed his desire to appear in the Hindi version of “Breaking Bad” and how he ultimately got involved with it.

The compelling criminal thriller, which was created by Vince Gilligan, shows how Walter White, the main character, switches from being a high school chemistry teacher to a methamphetamine manufacturer in order to protect his family’s future. The antihero, power, and integrity themes dominate the show.

In the promo Gulshan Grover, who portrays Hector Salamanca, a paraplegic drug lord, struggles to convey his emotions while simply striking a bell on the set.

Elaborating on the promo, he said: “It’s a fun promo and I am sure the audience will also enjoy watching it as much as I did making it. I have said some of Walter White’s most iconic lines in my own way and the whole experience got me excited all over again to watch this superb show.”

The series, which is set and shot in Albuquerque, New Mexico, centres on Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a dejected high school chemistry teacher who is underpaid, overqualified, and suffering from stage-three lung cancer. Before he passes away, White turns to a life of crime and teams up with a former classmate, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine while avoiding the perils of the criminal underground.

Zed Cafe is the streaming partner for “Breaking Bad” in Hindi on 28 August.
