Ghantasala biopic to start soon

The Telugu Cinema learned the first notes from legends like Saluri Rajeshwara Rao and Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao, popularly known as Ghantasala took the music to the masses and his voice has become synonymous with the greatest legends like NTR and ANR. Many of their classics are sung by him.

Until Balasubramanyam took over the scene, Ghantasala has been preferred as the lead singer by all the actors. When he couldn’t sing as well as he did earlier, he decided to retire but kept singing due to the demand till his last breath.

Ch. Ramarao is coming up with a biopic on the singer and composer. Singer Sri Krishna will play Ghantasala on the screen and his wife, Mrudula will play the on-screen wife too. The movie will shoot soon and will be completed quickly it seems.

With Mahanati becoming such a huge hit and NTR biopic making all the right noises, the team are hopeful of a good reception from the audience at least on Satellite and Digital platforms, if not at theatres.
