Through PETA, Fatima Sana Sheikh made the donation.
At the Bengali Basti in Vasant Kunj, Delhi, actress Fatima Sana Shaikh, famed for roles in films like “Dangal,” “Ludo,” and others, gave vegan biryani to 1,000 people in need. Before Eid ul-Adha, the donation was made.
Eid ul-Adha falls on June 28 or June 29, depending on whether the moon is visible. Additionally, the Dangal actress provided vegan chocolate milk.
Through PETA, Fatima Sana Shaikh made the donation. The goal of the initiative is to promote goodwill and health awareness.
Talking about the same, Fatima Sana Shaikh, who is a vegetarian by choice, said, “I’m delighted to observe Eid ul-Adha with my friends at PETA India. By distributing vegan biryani to those in need, we aim to spread kindness and good health.”
Muslims who are vegetarian or vegan, as well as others, observe Eid ul-Adha by giving away vegan food or providing assistance to the needy without using any animals because they care about the welfare of animals, people’s health, and the environment.
“It is commanded into us to eat what is halal and tayyib (permissible and good natured), which means food that is not only lawful but also wholesome and ethically sourced. And by no means is meat today produced ethically,” says PETA India Advocacy Officer Farhat Ul Ain. “Muslims, like members of all communities, are increasingly going vegan to save others’ lives and our own.”
Fatima Sana Shaikh will soon be seen in the films “Sam Bahadur” and “Dhak Dhak,” according to the job front.
