The Election Commission has unveiled the upcoming election schedule, causing a stir in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In particular, the polling for Andhra Pradesh assembly & Lok Sabha seats, along with Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, is set for May 13th, with counting on June 4th.
This announcement poses a potential setback for Prabhas, as his film “Kalki 2898 AD,” alongside Nag Ashwin, is slated for release on May 9th. While there’s uncertainty if the film will be ready by then, the lack of an official postponement announcement implies May 9th as the release date.
However, if “Kalki” maintains this date, it faces a significant challenge at the box office due to the election frenzy gripping the Telugu states. The intense political atmosphere could dampen the film’s prospects. Given the circumstances, the new election schedule should serve as a compelling reason to delay “Kalki’s” release, considering the potential impact on its box office performance.
