ED Raids Tamil Producer Akash Baskaran’s Home And Office

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted surprise raids at the residence and office of Tamil film producer Akash Baskaran, causing a stir in the film industry.

Akash is currently producing three major films, Idli Kadai with Dhanush, Simbu’s 49th film, and Paraakshakti starring Sivakarthikeyan. The raids took place at his home on K.P.N. Dasan Road in Teynampet, Chennai.

Sources suggest that the ED is investigating financial irregularities but no official statement has been made yet. Akash, who runs Don Pictures, is known for his rapid rise in the industry and close ties with political circles.

His wedding was officiated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and many film celebrities including Nayanthara, were present.
