Deepika Padukone has been in the news over the past two days for the wrong reasons. She was removed from the sequel of Kalki 2898 AD, leading to debates about her demands and reported remuneration.
Many expected her to clarify the situation, but she has stayed silent. Meanwhile, she has joined the sets of her next film King, an action-packed drama starring Shah Rukh Khan.
This project marks Deepika’s sixth collaboration with SRK. Sharing her excitement on social media, she recalled a lesson SRK taught her during Om Shanti Om 18 years ago, the experience of making a film and the people you work with matter more than the film’s success.
She said this learning has guided her decisions ever since which is why they are coming together again for King.
Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced jointly by him and Shah Rukh Khan, King also stars Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan in key roles.
