Deepika Padukone Opens Up On Breaking Barriers

Deepika Padukone recently shared her thoughts on breaking barriers in the film industry. After welcoming her daughter Dua in 2024, she resumed work and is now shooting King with Shah Rukh Khan, followed by Atlee’s film with Allu Arjun.

However, she won’t be part of the Kalki 2898 AD sequel, with reports hinting at commitment issues. Earlier, her project with Sandeep Reddy Vanga also didn’t work out, reportedly due to her 8-hour work mandate.

In a report, 25 Years of Indian Cinema (2000 to 2025), Deepika featured in 10 of the 130 most popular films.

Reflecting on her journey she said she was often told how women should shape their careers but chose to ask questions, challenge norms and walk a tougher path.

She credited her family, fans and colleagues for their faith saying honesty and resilience can drive meaningful change in cinema.
