Deepika Padukone Breaks Silence On Work Hour Controversy

Deepika Padukone returned to work after her maternity break but recently made headlines for missing out on two major South Indian films, Sandeep Reddy’s Spirit and the sequel of Kalki 2898 AD.

Both projects star Prabhas, and reports claimed that Deepika was dropped because she wanted to work only 8 hours a day and was not ready for extra hours. This led to heavy trolling against her though she chose to remain silent for weeks.

Now, Deepika has finally responded. She said that when a woman sets limits, it is often seen as pushy, but many male superstars in India have been working only 8 hours for years without facing criticism.

Some even follow a Monday to Friday schedule and avoid weekends. She added that the film industry is still disorganized and should adopt proper systems.

She also noted that other women and new mothers work 8 hours too, yet don’t make headlines.
