“Family Star,” featuring Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur, is set to hit theaters on April 5th. Directed by P. Parasuram, known for “Geetha Govindam” and “Sarkaru Vaari Paata,” and produced by Dil Raju, the film’s censor formalities are complete, with a locked runtime of 163 minutes.
However, the inclusion of cuss words in a family-oriented film like this has raised eyebrows, leading to their removal by censor officials. Some inconsistencies, like Vijay’s character wearing luxurious attire despite portraying a middle-class role, have also been noted, suggesting a lack of attention to detail.
Despite these concerns, the film’s team exuded confidence at the pre-release event in Hyderabad, with Vijay praising Parasuram and addressing criticisms directed at him.
The songs and trailer have garnered decent attention, but competition from the successful “Tillu Square” at the box office could pose a threat to “Family Star’s” performance. Overall, while anticipation for the film remains, there are notable challenges it may face upon its release.
