Big Update On Sidharth Malhotra’s Next

Sidharth Malhotra has signed a full-on commercial entertainer which will be produced by Mahaveer Jain under Mahaveer Jain Films. Now, there is an exciting update that senior filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi is likely to direct the film.

According to trade sources Santoshi is known not only for powerful films like Ghayal, Damini and Ghatak but also for popular entertainers such as Andaz Apna Appa and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. Talks with him are said to be at an advanced stage.

At present, Rajkumar Santoshi is completing his dream project Lahore 1947 which stars Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi and Ali Fazal. The film is produced by Aamir Khan who will also appear in a cameo role.

Earlier Raaj Shaandilyaa was considered for this project. Meanwhile pre-production work is happening at full speed and the makers are expected to lock the director soon.

Written by Sanjeev the film will blend comedy with thrills, and Sidharth Malhotra is said to be excited as the role will present him in a fresh and new avatar.
