Baahubali Director SS Rajamouli Opens up About Sridevi Rejecting Baahubali

In India right now, director SS Rajamouli is a force to be reckoned with. His RRR had a significant impact on the world and even at the Oscars, making history. He is a visionary who brought together the best personalities in Bollywood and the southern film industry to create something the audience will always remember. With Baahubali, the director generated buzz before RRR. The movie’s characters all generated a lot of buzz, but there was a catch. And Sridevi was the catch!

The late actress was a contender to play Sivagami Devi in Baahubali: The Beginning before Ramya Kishan. The latter declined to participate in the movie, and the director evidently did not take the rejection well. The actress was irritated by some comments he made, and she graciously responded to him.

According to a source, SS Rajamouli thanked Sridevi for declining the offer and cited her starry outbursts and high financial expectations as the reasons why she did not accept the role in the movie. His remarks greatly angered the actress and her producer husband, Boney Kapoor. In an interview, the actress expressed shock that Rajamouli would speak in such a manner.
