AR Rahman Reveals His Experience Of Composing For…
AR Rahman has opened up about composing music for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana and working with Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer.
Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi, the epic is both an honour and a responsibility for Rahman.
The Oscar-winning composer revealed that Zimmer had invited him to collaborate 14–15 years ago, soon after his Slumdog Millionaire Oscar win. However, Rahman was taking a break from work then.
Rahman also addressed the mixed response to Ramayana’s songs, especially Ravana Tandav. He said he does not spend much time following online criticism and prefers to focus on his creative work.
His son keeps him updated about changing reactions. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana’s first part will release on November 5, 2026.
