Anurag Kashyap Opens Up On His Unmade Film With…

Anurag Kashyap recently revealed that his new film Nishaanchi was first planned with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput as the hero.

The project was announced in 2016, but things changed when Sushant signed big films with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, like Dil Bechara and Drive.

Because of this, Nishaanchi was pushed aside. Kashyap also said that Sushant later stopped responding and so he moved on from the plan.

The Gangs of Wasseypur director added that many actors showed interest in the script but it never felt right to him with anyone else.

He wanted to make it in the right way. Sadly, Sushant passed away in June 2020 leaving a strong legacy and countless fans who still cherish his work.
