Magadheera is one film in SS Rajamouli and Ram Charan Tej’s career that launched them to superstardom and the producers also found out the real potential of Telugu markets. The movie became so popular that it gave Rajamouli freedom to experiment with Maryadaramanna, Eega and attempt Baahubali franchise. Such movie, has been long in talks for a Hindi remake but the producers tried to produce the movie by themselves in Hindi with right casting.
As it took time and the movie became too old, the producers also kept their plans to remake on back burner and started working on other films. All of a sudden, they found that their film has been copied without their permission by a new Bollywood film and they filed a case against the movie in court. Every Telugu Cinema lover after watching the Raabta trailer thought the movie is a free make of Magadheera and when the matter reached Geeta Arts, they wanted to solve the matter in their own style.
The producer of Raabta did not react during to their repeated requests to give them the complete plot and story synopsis. So, Magadheera producers moved to court and arguments did go for six hours, yesterday regarding the copyrights and what aspects of the movie come under the violation. After the long arguments, the producers seems to have found a way to resolve the issue and Raabta producers offered a big sum to Geetha Arts to withdraw the case and the producer, Aravind thinking about the release and difficulties another producer would face before release, took the deal and solved the matter amicably outside the court, as per the news reports.
