Akhil2 is fast progressing as the actor waited long enough to set the right combination with right script long enough. Over two years, after Akhil release, he and his father heard a lot of scripts and decided to go with Vikram Kumar as the director for the movie. Once Vikram Kumar came on board, Nagarjuna went on to discuss with him about potential ideas and like two of them. When Vikram came up with the first one, he decided to go ahead with it and start shooting late last year. But the team waited further as they changed the script.
Vikram Kumar came up with a new story and a genre based script for the movie. He decided to give it a great twist with his penchant to simple yet mind-numbimg screenplays. After Akkineni Nagarjuna gave a go ahead, from mid-April the shoot is going on with few breaks in between. The release of the movie is scheduled for later this year or early next year, which ever date looks feasible. Akhil Akkineni has been working out from past few months to build a specific body frame for the movie and in the first schedule, few action sequences with Hollywood stunt choreographer have been scanned in Annapurna Studios.
Now, the team is moving to Agra, Lucknow and Allahabad for a crucial schedule. The movie is said to have shades of road movies and director Vikram Kumar is working as quickly as possible to finish the movie in time. As off now, entire team is happy with the output and Nagarjuna watched the first schedule scenes to make sure that everything is going as per plan. In this schedule, key scenes will be shot as per the sources and by the end of it, the team could finalise, a lead actress for the movie.
