2023 Rewind: Best Actors of 2023 in Tollywood

2023 has been a special year for Telugu cinema as we saw some great performances from upcoming actors and star heroes. In terms of stardom too, 2023 took a few actors to the next level in their career through the performances. Here are the top ten actors who impressed the most in Telugu cinema.

• Dhanush – Sir

Tamil star, Dhanush made his Tollywood debut with Sir. Directed by Venky Atluri, Dhanush played a school teacher most effectively. Venky Atluri also designed Dhanush’s role in a very special way and Dhanush killed it with his truly award-winning performance in all the emotional scenes. Though Nandini Reddy‘s Anni Manchi Sakunamule did not work at the box office, the film had great performances. One of them was the main lead, Santhosh Soban. He as the young lad who is torn between the two families gave a solid performance. In many of the confrontation scenes, Santhosh moved us to tears with his realistic acting.

• Anand Deverakonda – Baby

2023 will be a lifetime memory for Anand Deverakonda. He saw a new lease of life with Baby. The romantic drama directed by Sai Rajesh showcased Anand as an auto driver who is cheated by his lover. Anand’s performance moved us to tears in many scenes. The way he connected with the masses through his performance was something quite special and proved that Anand can also act solidly.

• Naveen Polishetty- Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty

Naveen Polishetty is the new kid on the block. With each passing film, he is seeing a new lease of stardom. In Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, Naveen gave a solid performance. In both comedy and emotions, he even dominated Anushka in many scenes and was the show-stopper in Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty. • Balakrishna – Bhagavanth Kesari

Bhagavanth Kesari was a special film for Balakrishna. He changed his mass image and played a character that suited his age. Balayya’s performance and the scenes related to women’s empowerment were a rage with the family audience. Anil Ravipudi showcased Balayya in a completely new light in this film.

• Prabhas – Salaar

2023 was the comeback year for Prabhas. After scoring back-to-back flops after Baahubali, Salaar was the film with which Prabhas showcased his mass power once again.
