This Sunday, Suriya attended the pre release function of his next release, Singham 3 / Yamudu 3 at Hyderabad. The movie was postponed a weak after getting ready for a release on December 16th. The function was to address the decision behind postponing the movie and also promote the film in a bigger way by interacting with local media. Suriya explaining the reason behind the film postponement said that he treats Allu Aravind as a guru as he released his big break through movie, Ghajini in Telugu and gave him such huge market in Telugu households as well. As Aravind requested him to give one more week gap for his big production, Dhruva, the makers Studio Green, obliged his request and are releasing their movie on 23rd December.
Suriya continued saying, he did the movie has his fans, family members and well wishers suggested to do the film in his current situation as it would help him deliver a box office successful movie. He shared his happiness to being part of variety of films and thanked Telugu people for accepting his films whole heartedly. He said his film will be different from his earlier two releases and even Singham films too. Allu Aravind along with Studio Green also asked Rockline Venkatesh to postpone his Kannada big film by a week as well. Both the producers are great friends with the makers of Dhruva and they postponed their movies by a week. It is a blessing in disguise for people as well, with all the Demonetization struggles they will have time to watch two big films with a two weeks time.
