Will they get “Spyder” right this time?

Mahesh wanted to work with Mani Ratnam, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Shankar and AR Murugadoss. He missed chances to work with Mani Ratnam. He wanted to contact Shankar but never the director had time for other heros except Rajanikanth and Chiyaan Vikram, last decide. Since, Khakha Khakha – Gharshana in Telugu he had a good desire to work with Gautham Menon and the talk about a cop film happened right after Ye Maaya Chesave under her sister, Manjula production. Somehow, the talks failed.

From then on, he had been talking to AR Murugadoss and the director finally came up with a story line that he was confident about. Unfortunately, that movie – Spyder, failed at the box office and Murugadoss seems to have lost his touch, since then. The director couldn’t deliver big hits with both Vijay and Rajanikanth. While Rajani’s Darbar became a huge disaster, Vijay’s Sarkar did not live up to the expectations. The latest buzz states that Murugadoss might be looking to earn at the place where he lost everything.

He and Mahesh Babu started talks say sources. But will that shape up into a good film? Or will this combination be rumours again, we cannot say, yet. This movie, if happens, could start before SS Rajamouli’s film with Mahesh, which the director himself said that he should be doing after RRR, as he gave commitment to a senior producer like KL Narayana.
