SS Rajamouli always tries to push the envelope with his movies budget, scale wise. He is ready to take risks in a calculated manner. The director decided to take on RRR after Baahubali series, which proved to be super successful. The pandemic has put a stop on the progress of the film shooting but with Ram Charan and Jr. NTR ready to finish the movie and move on, SSR is thinking about ways to finish it economically for his producer and in short time.
Already movie took good 2 years out of the entire team’s lives and hence, he doesn’t want to waste even more time, it seems. Also, producer DVV Danayya spent a lot of money on the project and it performing well globally, can only guarantee a return on investment.
To reduce the risk in the current situation of uncertainty, he decided to go for trimming the film and cut short scenes that he otherwise would have thought necessary for his film. A good 30% of the film shoot is still not complete and out of which there are drama sequences that don’t lend to the story that important, it seems. If he can trim them down somehow, then the number of days they have to work on set will come down and hence, they can get ready for a release sooner than what their current plans suggest, say reports. Will that be the case? Let’s wait and see.
